The day after my birthday (last Thursday) I received a card from Revzilla. For those who don’t know, Revzilla is a huge and awesome online store for motorcycle gear.

Much to my surprise it wasn’t some generic auto-sent happy birthday postcard. It was actually a handwritten card!

Here’s the transcript

Hey Noah,

Happy Belated Birthday!!! We recieved a call from your Nana who thought you did not recieve the gift card she purchased for your birthday. After some digging we figured out that you did infact recieve it and had already converted it to store credit. Give her a call and say thank you!!! Enjoy the new SMX 6 boots!

Two wheels down,

Justin

It definitely gave me a good chuckle and some warm and fuzzies. Thank you Justin at Revzilla, you guys provide some of the best customer service in the moto gear business!

PS: I definitely immediately called my Nana and the Alpinestars SMX-6 boots are awesome.

I just wish they put up more content on Common Tread, it’d be a reasonable replacement for Lanesplitter (which has become little more than “helmet cam vid of the day.”

I agree, but I’d much prefer them to stick with the quality over quantity approach and not just put crap up to hit a post quota.

That’s hilarious!

I’m addicted to their closeout section.

They bent over backwards for me over a helmet. I got a call, an email, a follow up email, Cocaine.

We’ll maybe not all of that, but they were real nice! I put their stickers on my toolbox.

That’s probably the best guilt trip I’ve ever seen. Also, your grandma sounds like an awesome person.

I love Revzilla....however they neglected my birthday :( They price matched my helmet that was on closeout on their site but still $80 cheaper on closeout elsewhere, only asked for the link. Best return policy there is, which for buying MC gear is great since it all fits so differently and there are limited options to try gear locally here (though they do have a physical store in Philly which isn’t too far)

The gear review videos are extremely helpful.
